Total Solar constructs the second solar power plant in Japan

Total Solar has announced a construction of the new power plant in Miyako in Iwate province, to supply electricity to over 8,000 households.

The construction of the Miyako Solar Park of 25-megawatt peak photovoltaic will be started up in 2018 and it will be fully designed with specific requirement for Japan’s earthquake resistant building standards. The new power plant will also be equipped with over 76,000 high-efficiency Sun Power solar panels and will be connected to the electricity distribution grid to supply energy through the regional utility company.

This project falls in line with the Total Group’s strategy to develop in the production and sale of solar electricity in Europe and worldwide, by enlarging solar power plants and distributed photovoltaic systems at the sites of industrial or commercial customers.
