Sepur is equipped with a side-loading BOM

A few days before the Salon Pollutec, Sepur, a specialist in cleanliness solutions, is launching an innovative experiment in Ile-de-France, using its very first side-load refuse collection bin (BOM). Objectives: to share the street with serenity, to reduce the difficulty of the work and to encourage the emergence of new collection practices.

Thanks to its very powerful chassis, the BOM is controlled from the driver’s cab by the driver of the vehicle who controls the mechanical arm. It saves time in the management of collections, reduces the difficulty of the work of the ripeurs and increases the safety related to these activities.

With the help of local authorities, waste bins have been placed on the right side of the roads to improve the handling of the containers. Training was also provided to drivers on new tours and new techniques for using the BOM.

The lateral BOM is currently being tested on different types of collection sites: urban, semi-urban, semi-rural and rural. If the test is successful, Sepur will acquire several skips to integrate this technology into the company’s uses and deploy it on all of its operations.
