EDF continues in expanding and diversifying its portfolio of projects through its local subsidiaries EDF EN do Brasil, EDF EN Chily and EDF EN Mexico. In Brazil, EDF Energies Nouvelles is already developing the wind turbines projects, the group has acquired 80% of the project Pirapora I (191 MWc) in the southeast of the country from the Canadian Solar. In Mexico, the group has also made an entrance into the market of solar Bluemex with a capacity of 90MVac, as part of the project of a national tender. Located in the State of Sonora, the future manufacture should consist of two-sided photovoltaic cells. Beside, the wind turbine project Gunaa Sicarú (252 MW) is complemented to 391 MW of wind farms operated by EDF EN Mexico. It will be located in the state of Oaxaca. Located in the north of the Chilean capital, Santiago Solar photovoltaic project (115 MWc) is equally owned by EDF Energies Nouvelles and Andes Mining Energy (AME).
