Jeroen Philtjens, Director of BESIX Nederland said: “We are proud to further contribute to the skyline of Rotterdam – a city renowned for its pioneering architecture – with this remarkable building. At the moment, there are quite a few ongoing high-rise initiatives in Rotterdam, to which BESIX can bring added value as high-rise specialist.”
The residential tower is to feature 258 rental apartments and 86 for sale. A parking garage of two floors and a bicycle shed able to contain 688 bikes are also to be created. Retail spaces and restaurants among one with a view on the river are to compose the ground floor.
The old office building is to be demolished from July in order to construct the new tower. The construction work will start in early 2018 with a completion scheduled for 2020.
The project is worth €100M.
