Metso provides the most modern processing plant in Thailand

The Finland-based, Metso announced that the company is to supply an aggregate processing plant for Insee Aggregates’ Suphanburi Quarry in Thailand.

The project includes all crushing and screening equipment, electrical plant design, automation software and hardware. This new plant will be the most modern processing plant in Thailand to produce high-quality aggregates with a production capacity of nearly 2 million tons per year.

The Suphanburi Quarry owned by Insee Aggregates, a part of Siam City Cement Company, Thailand’s second largest cement producer, aims to supply aggregates to the Bangkok market, and as the expansion objective was to double the crushing capacity, it was undeniably important that quality and production performance was never compromised.

The new plant is expected to start production in 2018. The total value of the contract for its part is not disclosed yet, but Metso has already booked the order in the last quarter of 2016.
