Zaha Hadid Architects designs breathtaking residential project in Mexico

The well-established architecture agency has unveiled the design for the Alai project located on the Mayan Rivieira in the Yucatan Peninsula.

Alai project is composed of seven towers that are built on a podium. This particular design allows a panorama on the Caribbean Sea and the Nichupte Lagoon.

The project features twelve types of apartment with private balconies.

To design the luxury residential project, Zaha Hadid Architects has taken into consideration ecological aspects as well as the local Mayan tradition which has been reinterpreted in a contemporary perspective.

By means of an elevated platform with integrated perforations that share the buildings, the natural light floods the ground below as well as enables tropical vegetation to grow upwards through the platform.

Alai project also has Amenities for sport, leisure and wellness that are located on this raised platform nine meters above the ground.
