Hyundai Construction Equipment takes off

Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) announces the separation of the Construction Equipment division from the Hyundai Heavy Industries parent company. This new company was officially created under the name Hyundai Construction Equipment on April 1st.

The creation follows a restructuring plan initiated last year. It offers more opportunities and flexibility in the Construction Equipment Division. The parent company will now make its own decisions. All HHI Construction Equipment operations will be transferred to this new company in April.

In Europe, we see the emergence of a new shareholder, Hyundai Construction Equipment, whose name will change during the year to Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe. Its European headquarters will be set up in Tessenderlo in Belgium for an amount of € 30 million. The 81,000 m² facility will house a new warehouse, a training center, a reception hall and an exhibition hall.
