Lufthansa Technik extends partnership with Spie

Lufthansa Technik renew their confidence in Spie, the specialist in multi-technical services in the field of energy and communications, by extending their collaboration until 2023.

In the western part of the Hamburg airport, where Lufthansa Technik is based, Spie ensures the efficient operation of production equipment, hoists, sanitary and air conditioning systems. Maintenance of heating and ventilation systems is also provided by 160 experts. In addition, the energy and technical supply systems benefit from a high-quality network of 110 kV.

Spie has its own workshops and coordinates maintenance through ongoing processes. Technological optimization involves the simultaneous execution of many different tasks, representing approximately 80,000 work orders each year. All the technical installations, including a cogeneration unit, distributed over the 550,000 m² of the workshops, are placed under surveillance 24/7 from a control center. The latter collects information about 40,000 data points. The process may involve instruments for measuring ventilation or heating, or alarms and emergency generators.
