Schmitz Dong Feng Special Vehicle Company has its CEO

The Board of Directors of the Schmitz Cargobull Joint Venture (Wuhan) has elected Aidan Ryan to head Schmitz Dong Feng Special Vehicle Company, based in Wuhan, China.

With an engineering degree from Dublin University, Aidan Ryan began his professional career as a senior expert and engineer at Ingersol Rand in Dublin. He then moved to Minneapolis where he was appointed as Head of Truck and Trailer Division. In 2006, he was nominated as Technical Director Climate Control at the headquarters of Ingersol Rand in Shanghai. Subsequently, as General Manager, he is responsible for managing all technical divisions and growth strategy before assuming the position of Product Development Manager in charge of sales, services and marketing in China. Prior to joining Schmitz Cargobull, he was vice president of R & D Asia Pacific for Kion Group APAC in Xiamen and responsible for product development for local markets. He is now the CEO of Schmitz Dong Feng Special Vehicle Company.

For the record, since 2015, Schmitz Cargobull is producing trailers at the new plant in Wuhan. Trailers specially developed and built for the Chinese market are particularly well suited to well-maintained roads but also to rough roads in the mountains and tundra.
