The new Amsterdam tramway unveiled

Avant-Première agency from Lyon, associated with CAF constructor, is at the origin of the design of the future tramway of Amsterdam. For recall, the city has one of the largest tram networks in the world.

In the Netherlands, Amsterdam has 16 lines, more than 230 trains and 490 stations. It is at this level a reference in terms of tramway. The design proposed by Avant Première and CAF is part of this story, begun in 1900, and brings many innovations in terms of accessibility, comfort and traveler information. Mainly: the front offers a panoramic view for better driving in a dense urban environment mixing motorists, cyclists and pedestrians.

The contract with CAF covers a total of 123 trains (of which 60 are optional). Commissioning is planned for 2019. A 1: 1 scale model will be presented shortly.
