Nuclear dismantling: the market valued at 220 billion

The 4th edition of the Sessions of Dismantling will be held on December 14th in Marcoule ICSM and Forum de Laudun-L’Ardoise in Gard; while the market for nuclear dismantling is now estimated at 220 billion euros.

The Sessions of dismantling known as the reference of French event on this subject, are organized by the Promotion Unit of Industrial Facilities (PVSI : Pôle de Valorisation des Sites Industriels) which gathers the main contractors and all the companies supplying the sector, as well as research institutes, the training and public sector of Economic and Industrial development. Their objective is to meet the technical and financial challenges posed by the global markets for nuclear dismantling and, more generally, deconstruction and decontamination in sectors with similar constraints (sensitive waste, confined environments).

This year again, nearly 300 actors in the French dismantling sector, including those of the CEA, will participate in the Sessions. The 2016 edition will be an opportunity to address issues of technological qualification for sanitation and dismantling projects, as well as the opportunities provided by the digital to this sector. In addition, the professional training will be made honor with the award of trophies to 3 courses or institutions particularly noted for their contribution to the branch and the companies related to this sector.
