Floating Wind Turbines: 2 new winners in the Mediterranean

The latest calls for projects have seen 2 candidates for the wind floating farm project, designated as a winner !

EDF EN will be in charge of PGL Project, which will be equipped with Siemens’s turbines and SBM/IFPEN floats on Faraman’s area of the Mediterranean. This project consists of 3 wind turbines of 8 MW. The other project called EFGL operated by Engie/EDPR/CDC, consists of GE’s turbines and Eiffage/PPI’s floats on Leucate’s area of the Mediterranean, should contained 4 wind turbines of 6 MW.

They should joined the first 2 winners of the call projects launched in August 2015 to take part of the future investments made under the program decided on July 22^nd, 2016 (Eolfi/CGN project in Groix in Brittany and Quadran project in Gruissan in Occitan).
