Smart Helmet offers unprecedented possibilities

Daqri’s Smart Helmet is not a helmet like any other. It integrates enhanced reality and a thermal camera.

Although it is not a construction helmet in the first place, Smart Helmet does the job and much more. Initially conceived as an enhanced reality helmet, it guarantees equal protection than a jobsite hard hat. And its peak has been reinforced.

Developed by the American Daqri, Smart Helmet is a true concentrate of technology. It integrates at the back a small PC equipped with Intel Core processor m7, to oversee its whole functioning. Communications are transmitted wirelessly, via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The battery life is up to 4 to 5 hours.

The device has also been fitted with a thermal camera. It allows the detection of variations in temperature and of potentially dangerous leaks for operators. One can also use this feature to realize a proactive maintenance in case of wear or defect.

This all-in-one helmet is available from Daqri or its partners at the price of 15,000 dollars. It has proved useful in the United States for the building of a hospital and has already crossed the Atlantic as French giant Vinci is currently testing it.
