Sacyr wins $241M contract for new cement plant in Bolivia

The Spanish development group has been appointed to manage the plant construction in the city of Potosi.

The Spanish based Sacyr Industrial has signed two days ago a $241 M contract with SEDEM, a public institution for the development of manufacturing public companies, to build a cement plant in Potosi (Bolivia).

Sacyr engages to undertake the design, the construction and the assembly. A new clinker line, allowing a capacity of 3000 tons a day, is to be commissioned by the Spanish firm with the objective of up to 1.3M tons annual production.

The Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract mainly foresees the plant to have primary crushing, pre-homogenization yard, vertical raw mill and cement silo processing units among others.
