142 Million dollars of JCB machines for the US Army

JCB begins 2017 with a record $ 142 million order for the US Army to acquire more than 1,600 JCB telescopes for loading and unloading aircraft and containers for shipments.

This contract includes the new telescopic JCB 527-58M. "This order is fantastic news for JCB and a good way to start this new year.This is the second most important order in our company’s history and I congratulate all those who worked to get this contract, the year we celebrate 40 years of telescopic production ," said Graeme Macdonald, CEO of JCB.

The biggest contract in JCB’s history was also made with the US military in 2005. For $ 206 million, the manufacturer had supplied hundreds of HMEEs (military backhoe loaders on a Fastrac tractor base). Like the HMEE, the new telescopic JCB 527-58M will be produced in North America, headquartered in Savannah, Georgia. It will be powered by the 84hp JCB DieselMax engine (63kW) by the JCB Power System plant in Derbyshire, England.

With its 2 m wide and 1.98 m high, the JCB 527-58M military version optimizes work in confined spaces. With a speed of 33 km / h, the machine has a capacity of more than 2.26 t and a height of up to 5.8 m. The JCB 527-58M was created to reconcile operational needs in service in challenging locations
