Hawaiian Dredging Construction Company (HDCC) is using drone and state-of-the-art data processing technology to optimize a residential construction site in Honolulu.

Hawaii has experienced a sustained economic growth in recent years with a record growth in tourism. Construction is also benefiting from this dynamism due to a significant need for infrastructure. HDCC is involved in all phases of construction on the island. They are involved in major infrastructure, maritime and foundation projects.

Recently, HDCC was commissioned by SamKoo Pacific LLC to build a 45-story residential building in Honolulu. The project began in 2017 and will be delivered in 2018. To facilitate data collection, the company used UAV technology to obtain regular information on the construction site and monitor the progress of the construction. The company is using a DJI Mavic drone and Pix4Dapture software to collect images from the site.
