Republic Cement partners with WWF for Watershed plan in Philippines
The Filipino trusted leader in innovative construction solutions for building a greener and stronger Republic joins forces with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Philippines to protect and enhance water supply in Rizal.

For the second phase of the “Catchments and Communities Project” which aims to develop a Watershed Sustainability Plan for Morong River in Rizal province, WWF collaborates with Republic Cement.

PUBLICITÉ
The project is to use first phase’s results to engage local government units and other stakeholders to commit in the development of workable action plans in order to ensure the sustainability of the Morong Watershed.

The project has started in 2015 with a study on the impact of urban and commercial development on the water balance of Morong. It also calls for the formation of a Water Quality Management Area to oversee the management and implementation of the watershed framework.
