"With the TGE, the range Man which begins at 7.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight, now starts from 3 tons," says Erwan Le Bail, head of VU division created for the occasion at Man Truck & Bus France. With two wheelbases (3.64 m / 4.49 m), three roof heights (2.35 m, 2.59 m, 2.79 m) and three different lengths (5.98 m, 6.83 m, 7.39 m), the range consists of 70 combinations of conventional vans (18.5 m 3 max.) single or double chassis-cab, trays and bodies including skips for the construction industry. "For customers of the sphere environment we offer special vehicles like small tonnage or the road department hydro-cleansing trucks" continues Erwan Le Bail. Produced in the same Polish factory that assembled the Volkswagen Crafter, the Man TGE also takes over the same engines as its first cousin, namely a 2 l TDI (EA288Nutz), available in 75 kW / 102 hp, 90 kW / 122 Ch, 103 kW / 140 hp, and in the BiTDI 130 kW / 177 hp version. All with the possibility of choosing between manual or automatic boxes, traction, propulsion or 4-wheel drive.
