First time in France, the new plant shredder Green Serie Cobra 90 PGS of Saelen is characterized from its competitors by the Kubota engine with double carburation with electronic control.
“Depending on requirements, this new machine can be powered by gasoline or gas, with the possibility to change from one fuel type to another at any time, including during in operation," says Saelen. A solution that allows the shredder to gain autonomy because of its double tank (50 liters of gasoline and 13 kg of gas). Awarded by the prize of "New Technologies" at the Salon Vert 2016, Cobra of Saelen responds therefore to community demands, who are seeking to reduce the particulate emissions. "Moreover, the combination of the engine Kubota WG 3800GL and the guidance control system , Pilot System Swing – setting three engine ranges depending on the nature of residues to be crushed – than allows the savings of fuel consumption and the oil " Saelen added. The manufacturer also highlights the milling performance of the new patented rotor called “Power Mixed Rotor”, both economical and productive. With 24 hammers with greasers equipped by pellets and 8 blades, the rotor of 560 mm diameter (270 kg) treats branches up to 20 cm in diameter with an average theoretical speed of 40 m3 / h. "The new design brings more inertia, improved ventilation from 45% up to 70km / h - and a decrease in the engine load of 45%," concluded Saelen
