Terex showcases two new Genie telescopic booms at APEX in Amsterdam

The global manufacturer of lifting and material processing products has unveiled two new Genie machines at the APEX exhibition currently taking place in the Netherlands.

New Genie S-80 XC AND S-85 XC telescopic booms feature state-of-the-art enhancements.

They are equipped with a ramped boom control system providing boom functions and control, a virtual pivot primary boom that aligns the machine’s center of gravity for machine weight as well as a 4WD and positive traction drive that maintains equal power to all drive wheels. In addition, their fixed-width axles allow faster setup while their active oscillating axle provides the machines to be used and most easily manipulated on rough terrain.

Other new features compose the booms such as a 360° turntable rotation for quick positioning, a robust jib with 1,000-lb maximum handling capacity and a service mode providing clear menus for settings and parameters.

The Genie S-80 XV model has an 86 feet working height with 68 feet of outreach and the S-85 XC boasts 91 feet working height with 74 feet 6 inches of outreach.

Both machines include a six feet or an eight feet tri-entry platform with side-swing gate to quickly get people, tools and jobsite materials in and out of the basket.
