Many changes are expected at the Greater Rochester international airport situated in Monroe County, New York. At a cost of $53.7M, the transformation project mainly consists of Terminal redesigning including upscale shopping and dinning area as well as the installation of solar lighting and rainwater collection.

The project aims at rehabilitating and revitalizing the airport’s facilities and infrastructure.
State-of-the-art innovations are to be included. Indeed, new façade creation will feature solar canopy with the objective of improving security and supporting sustainability by means of solar panels and rainwater for landscape irrigation. New windows with energy efficient glass bringing in additional sunlight are also to be set up.
A smart phone lot including, electric car charging stations would be
constructed before the terminal to provide travelers to save time.
