Located 65 km west of Geelong and 25 km east of Colac in Australia, the Mount Gellibrand wind farm is being constructed by Acciona Energy that is also in charge of operating the project.

The generated electricity would be traded in the wholesale electricity market.
An hundred direct jobs are being created for the construction phase and the supply of equipment for the wind farm is to boost employment in several Victoria’s companies late on.
Acciona Energy Oceania Managing Director, Andrew Thomson said: “We are pleased to have achieved viability for 132MW of wind power capacity in Victoria, which will mean higher investment, more jobs and a greater contribution of clean energy to the community, within our clear growth strategy in the country.”
The project is worth AUD$258M.
