South Korea tallest skyscraper is now open

The Lotte World Tower was inaugurated on the 3rd of April in the capital city, Seoul.

Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF), the tallest building of Seoul features retail spaces, luxury hotel, glass-bottomed observation deck, rooftop café and officetels that are multi-purpose buildings with residential and commercial units.

Located in the Jamsil district points to historical Seoul and Namsam Mountain, the Skyscraper is composed of 123 floors for 1,820 feet height.

The design and construction phases have been undertaken in order to meet LEED Gold Standard through photovoltaic panels or wind turbines and also resist to extreme weather conditions, particularly earthquakes.

The Lotte World Tower stands as the tallest of South Korea and the fifth tallest in the world.
