The project is also part of Noor PV 1 program that includes a 30MW PV plant construction in Laayoune and a 20MW PV power station in Boudiour.
The German development bank, KfW has provided $64M to finance the $74.6M phase IV project.
After the fourth phase completion and operation in 2018, the $2.2bn Noor Ouarzazate Solar Complex which is also composed of 160MW Noor 1 Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) station as well as Noor 2 & 3 still under development, is expected to be the World‘s largest solar plant. It is to generate 582MW and provide electricity to over a million households.
