Komatsu completes acquisition of Joy Global
Komatsu,  manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, has announced a completion of its acquisition of Joy Global Inc. located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (USA).

Joy Global Inc., a global leader in high productivity solutions for mining operations, retaining its headquarter in Milwaukee will be renamed as Komatsu Mining Corp. and will operate as a subsidiary of Komatsu Ltd. The new company will continue to promote the P&H, Joy and Montabert brands and underground products which will enable Komatsu Mining Corp. to offer a complete range of mining solutions to customers, with at the forefront of safety and innovative solutions to become unparalleled provider of services and Mining solutions.

PUBLICITÉ
With this association, Komatsu will strengthen their direct services to the mining industry around the world and improve through their product ranges, the services and technologies that will help customers to develop their productivity and security in their operations in the world.

The transaction worth $ 3.7 billion and concern more than 10,000 of Komatsu’s employees with in-depth knowledge and experience in the mining industry, and after the conclusion of the transaction, the total number has brought up to 57,000 employees. In order to assist customers optimally, Komatsu is focused on ensuring uninterrupted service and continuity to supply to its customers.

Komatsu Mining Corp. will be headed by President and CEO, Jeffrey Dawes previously President and CEO of Komatsu Latin America, and will manage headquarter based in Milwaukee.
