Since July 2016, four French companies have been working on the development of a tool that aims to improve the verification processes using BIM. They are Bureau Veritas, Setec Bâtiment, Agence Coste Architectures and Bouygues Construction that oversees it.
They are collaborating with the French developer MediaConstruct.

With this digital BIM guide, technical inspectors and coordinators would be able to more rapidly and effectively communicate on their assessments for a project.
Alain Maury, MediaConstruct representant added: "BIM has considerable collective interest, as we can have structures that are of better quality, more environmentally friendly and easier-to-operate for a constant, even lesser price. For those who have made the effort to invest in BIM, there is no going back."
Bouygues Construction first project using BIM was the Canada’s Surrey Hospital creation in 2009.
