150MW solar farm building ongoing in the Philippines

The firm, Solar Philippines started, few weeks ago, the renewable energy plant project undertaking in Tarlac.

Around 450.000 solar panels with battery storage capability room are to form the Filipino solar farm which is being built in Tarlac by the provider Solar Philippines.

Leandro Leviste, Solar Philippines president, said: “This, after all would be, by our estimates, the first solar farm that will be built and completed under the Duterte administration which will be the first solar farm in the Philippines supplying power at a lower rate than fossil fuel; the first with battery storage with 24-hour supply; the first with made in the Philippines solar panels from the newly opened Solar Philippines’ 600-MW solar panel factory in Batangas.”

Built on over 150 hectares field, the solar farm is expected to produce 150MW of energy, what may power up to 300.000 households.

Leandro Leviste added: “The output of the 150 MW plant that will be operating here by the second half of 2017 will be able to power the entire Tarlac province with cheap renewable energy.

The whole project cost is estimated at $150 million for a completion by the end of 2017.
