A-one+, a highway maintenance contractor, applies the concept of "safety first" by having workers’ helmets adapted

Traditional hard hats fail in protecting perfectly the head of workers. Never mind, A-one+ – a joint venture between CH2M, Colas and Costain that works for Highways England – has found the solution. Working with their suppliers, they thought out of the box, integrating advanced technology normally used in the automotive field. Now, Manta helmets are equipped with a polycarbonate side plate, the material of car bumpers. A first in Europe.

This helmet has literally been tailor-made to the industrial world. A four harness strap ensures perfect fastening on the head. Moreover, it is possible to add elements like visors and hearing protections. And its weight has also been optimized, for maximum comfort.
