John Deere unveils new engine for generators

John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) announces a new engine for 200kVA main power generators and 225kVA for backup power. It is the first model of an updated and unprecedented range of engines dedicated to non-regulated markets.

Manufactured in France in its Orléans-Saran unit, the new engine is based on the John Deere PowerTech M 6.8 l platform and includes a mechanical injection system and an exchanger that ensures high tolerance to the load and a notable sobriety. In addition to a mechanically operated injection system, John Deere has engineered several maintenance-friendly features, including consolidation of all single-sided operations and a maintenance interval of 500 hours. In addition, the dual frequency 50 Hz / 60 Hz allows manufacturers to meet the requirements of different regions with a single product.

In European Union countries, the 200 kVA non-certified engine is suitable for fixed generators. In countries without regulations, it can also be used for mobile units.
