China's Leeza Soho Tower on schedule

The construction of the Leeza Soho tower, southwest of Beijing in China, is half-way completed. Twenty floors have already been built out of the 46 planned. Once completed, the tower will reach the height of 207 m.

At the heart of Lize Financial Business District, a new mixed neighborhood adjacent to Financial Road in southwest Beijing, the Leeza Soho Tower is located at the intersection of Metro lines 14 and 16 currently under construction. With a surface area of 172,800 m², the tower rises as a single volume divided into two parts on either side of the metro tunnel. A central atrium (the highest in the world) extends over 190 m and connects the two halves.

Designed by Zaha Hadid Architects and Soho China with the BIM, it integrates cutting-edge technologies to significantly reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. An energy management system will monitor in real time the environment and the energy efficiency of the building.

The Leeza Soho tower will reach 207 m in September 2017 and will be officially completed by the end of 2018.
