Palfinger: A hackathon for innovation

In Austria, Palfinger is organizing a hackathon for those wishing to offer innovative ideas to extend the manufacturer’s portfolio of products and services by integrating digital capabilities.

The hackhaton includes innovative hardware and software designers. It will be organized in cooperation with the North European consultancy firm Tieto and will be held on 4th and 5th March 2017 at the headquarters of Microsoft Austria. It is aimed primarily at university students and start-ups. 100 participants are expected.

The three winning teams will receive a prize of € 3,000 and will be able to continue working on their concept with engineers from Palfinger. Among the themes that are proposed, we can see: virtual reality / augmented reality, semi-automated loading and unloading, digital assistance systems, Palfinger as a service.
