Herrenknecht founder honored in Singapore

On November 11th, Martin Herrenknecht was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award in Singapore by the International Tunneling and Underground Space Association (ITA).

With his engineers and in partnership with international collaborators, Marin Herrenknecht has singularly revolutionized tunnel technology over the past 20 years, notably through unprecedented challenges. These include the Gotthard base tunnel (2x57 km long) in Switzerland, the Eurasia Tunnel under the Bosphorus, the Doha metro network and its 111 km of tracks.

With a career of 40 years in the field of tunnels, Martin Herrenknecht received numerous prizes including La Croix du Mértie, 1st class of the Federal Republic of Germany. The Werner von Siemens Ring, the most prestigious engineering engineering award in Germany, will be awarded at Werner von Siemens Ring on 13 December at the Berlin Academy of Sciences. 36 people since 1916.
