With Axtor of KOMPTECH, the palms had better watch out !

The Hantsch company specializing in the distribution of materials for processing green waste and composting, had delivered a bi-valent shredder Axtor of Komptech , to a company Terrassement du Zodiac to help him in his mission to destroy diseased palms in Antibes on the French Riviera.

In the 1990s, with the arrival of a South American butterfly (the Paysandisia archon), all the southern palms of France were attacked by the voracious caterpillar. The situation was worse when the Borneo red palm weevil (Rhynchophorus ferrugineus) developed in the south of France since October 2006.

The company Terrassement du Zodique, based in Antibes and an expert in the treatment of these trees, goes along the French Rivera to track diseased palms. The company has selected the bi-valent Axtor shredder, because of its high impact strength to help in this task. Its main asset : its wide feed hopper allows the entire loading of the palm.
