Nakheel wins $1.66bn Deira Mall contract in Dubai

The Dubai developer was awarded on April 12 the construction contract of the Mall which is to feature the biggest retail space of the UAE city.

Dubai developer, Nakheel has entrusted United Engineering Construction to build the 10.3 million square feet future mall localized in Deira area.

The $1.66bn contract includes the building of a 3.8 million square feet multi-storey car park with 8,400 spaces and the creation of over 1000 shops, cafes, restaurants and entertainment outlets across three floors.

The Deira Mall will also feature a retractable roof and allow open-air shopping in cooler months.

The construction is to start this year. When completed in 2020, the Deira Mall is to have the biggest retail space of Dubai.
