Salt Lake City airport new concourse to come

Part of the Salt Lake City Department of Airport’s Terminal Redevelopment Program (TRP), the North Concourse building project is to start soon since the constructor is designated.

Austin Okland Aviation awarded on April 7 the $740M contract to build new North Concourse at the Salt Lake City International Airport, located in the US State of Utah.

The new North Concourse is to replace the existing deficient gates located on Hall B, C and D. It will primarily be used for narrow-body and small, wide-body aircraft.

The North Concourse project foresees 15 additional gates to the east which brings the number of gates at 45. Moreover, a passenger tunnel is planned to be built in order to connect the North concourse to the South Concourse and the new terminal.

The project completion is anticipated for 2020 just as the opening of the new Terminal, Parking Garage and South Concourse-West.
