On April 11, the Australian energy company, ERM Power, and the developer Nexif Energy Australia have signed two long term large-scale generation certificate (LGC) agreements to support $450M wind farm construction.

Located at 15km west of Port Augusta, the 212MW Lincoln Gap Wind Farm is to be composed of 59 turbines with the objective of generating power for around 111,000 homes. It may besides create up to 300 jobs.
On the other hand, a joint venture between the multinational company, Enel Green Power and the Dutch Infrastructure Fund (DIF) was signed, on April 10, to acquire Bungala Solar project phase one which consists of managing 137.5MW of the 275MW PV project.
On 800 hectares of Land which is located 10km north-east of Port Augusta, are to be installed solar panels that would slowly follow the sun’s position.
The 275MW solar plant is expected to be one of Australia’s largest and is worth $315M.
Enel CEO, Franceso Starace declared: “The Australian renewable energy market is characterized by abundant resources and growing demand. Enel will work to harness these resources and contribute to the Australian economy.”
Both projects building are to start this year for a completion in 2018.
