Leighton Asia to deliver A$278M Hong Kong International Airport expansion

Airport Authority Hong Kong entrusts Cimic Group subsidiary with the Terminal 1 annex building and the Carpark 4 expansion.

On April 4^, Leighton Asia, the Hong Kong based constructor has been selected to deliver Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) development project that is expected to yield A$278M. That comprises two main phases. The construction of Terminal 1 annex constitutes the first company mission. It will be a seven stories concrete structure with steel truss roof and featuring check-in counters, baggage reclaim carousels and departure security screening channels.

The contract also commits Leighton Asia to deliver Carpark 4 expansion, an eleven-storey infrastructure connecting to the existing one as well as Terminal 1 arrivals ramp.

The project construction is to start this month for a completion in 2019.
