Atlas Copco extends its hydraulic breaker range

Atlas Copco releases the new MB 1650 Hydraulic Breaker, a successor to the MB 1700 model. Lighter and more compact, it delivers consistently high performance.

With a weight of 1,650 kg, the MB 1650 is compatible with gear from 19 to 32 t. A retrofitted opening provides better accessibility and ease of assembly, while the absence of a high-pressure accumulator reduces maintenance and repair costs. Its performance is optimized by the AutoControl function, an automatic communication system for the stroke length of the piston, which allows to adjust the frequency of the shots.

The energy recovery system, for its part, automatically uses the energy generated by the piston recoil to increase performance without additional hydraulic input while reducing vibration. The integrated StartSelect valve allows the operator to set the hydraulic breaker start mode according to the operating conditions in a few simple steps.

The MB 1650 is also equipped with the ContiLube II system, a self-draining automatic lubrication system that optimizes grease consumption and ensures continuous lubrication. Noise and vibration levels are minimized by the VibroSilenced Plus system, providing isolation of the impact mechanism and hammer housing with polyurethane damping and guiding elements and sealing all hammer openings to reduce noise and vibration and ensure the sealing of all openings for low noise and vibration levels.

A patented dust protection system called DustProtector II is available as an option. It will extend the life of components. The integrated control valve reduces dust intake in the tool guide area and in the percussion chamber.
