Intermat Asean 2017: Technology in construction

Bangkok will host the first edition of Intermat Asean, the construction and infrastructure trade fair of Southeast Asia, from June 8 to 10. Technology at the service of construction will be at the heart of the event.

A conference was held on 24 January in Bangkok to present "The Changing Trends in Infrastructure in Southeast Asia and New Technologies". According to the Thai Contractors Association and Construction Federation for the Southeast Asia region, Thailand will become the largest construction market in the region with a billing of about $ 30-$ 35 billion ahead of Singapore’s 18- 25 billion and Malaysia’s 25-30 billion. To be able to stay in first place, Thailand will have to make more use of technologies in construction equipment.

JCB South-East Asia will thus showcase key elements in the field of mining excavators, mining and quarrying machinery, telescopic and telematic systems, like its main competitor Case Construction.
