The Bouygues group 2016 financial results are up and above expectations. Its current operating income jumped 19% to reach 1.12 billion euros. This is due, among other things, to the improvement in the profitability of the construction industry.

For the 2017 outlook, the Bouygues Group expects its profitability to rise thanks to the stabilization of construction activity in France and its positioning in the bidding process for the Greater Paris metropolis. In addition, the order book of the BTP branch of the group has crossed the threshold of 30 billion euros, taken not by the international but by the French market. Bouygues Construction posted 6.9 billion euros in international orders (-2%) and 5.8 billion euros in France (+ 17%). At Bouygues Immobilier has also seen a 19% increase in sales of new homes.
