General Electric (GE) will deliver a power plant to Brazil worth over $900M to commence operations in January 2020.
The facility will be located at Barra dos Coqueiros and will have a capacity of 1,516MW. It features GE’s HA gas turbines, a steam turbine, and a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG).

The plant will be the largest gas power plant in Latin America and will cover 15% of the Northeast energy demand in Brazil.
