JAPAN : Welcome to JCI-RILEM International Workshop 2017

From April 24^th to 26^th, 2017 in Tokyo (JAPAN) will be held the JCI (Japan Concrete Institute)-RILEM International Workshop, related to control of cracking of mass concrete and related issues concerning early age cracking of concrete structures.

The program of the workshop consists of keynote lectures, invited lectures and general presentations, including the lecture of JCI guidelines on control of cracking of mass concrete. In fact, the early age cracking occurred in important concrete structures, like mass concrete or high performance concrete and for this reason, the control of early age cracking is unavoidably important to make such concrete structures durable, reducing thus life cycle cost and decrease of CO² footprint.

In addition, the 3 days of the workshop provide an opportunity to learn the most advanced technologies and exchange the latest information on control of early age cracking.

JCI-RILEM calls for abstracts paper, the prospective authors are encouraged to submit the proposition of their work and experience on the topics related to this workshop, via email by April 30^th, 2017 at CONCRACK5.Paper@gmail.com

For the record, CONCRACK5 will be held in Tokyo, one of the biggest cities in the world. An Olympic Games will either be held by 2020, and the large scale stadium will also be built with the challenges of ever higher expectations from concrete constructions.
