Uvex: a lightweight noise-cancelling helmet

Uvex, a German specialist in the manufacture of personal protective equipment (PPE), is expanding its range of hearing protection with a lightweight noise-cancelling helmet with unrivaled comfort.

The Uvex K2 noise-canceling headphones are distinguished by their light weight of 218 g. Its extra soft, memory foam padded shells ensure optimal wearing comfort, even over long periods of time. Equipped with a height adjustment mechanism and a padded headband, it ensures a pressure-free hold for a perfect fit. Thanks to lightweight and compact materials, the Uvex K2 helmet adapts perfectly to the wearer’s morphology and effectively protects it with an attenuation value of 32 dB SNR.

This innovative model greatly reduces heat build-up in the head and ears. Measurements of temperature rise under the shells have been made and are extremely low. Indeed, the helmet Uvex K2 obtained a result of 1.07 ° C / dB (I 3.9). It is also possible to add to the shells "Uvex Dry Pads" absorber pads for working in particularly hot areas.

In order to measure and compare the comfort of the products for the user, uvex uses an ergonomic performance index calculated from the average of three key criteria: strength, weight and climate. The result of this average varies from 0 (bad) to 5 (perfect). The Uvex K2 helmet confirms these ergonomic advantages by obtaining an ergonomic performance index of 4.07.
