Using Drones in Construction Projects

The projection of drone sales for commercial purposes is expected to reach $ 20 billion with more than $ 11 billion coming from the construction industry.

On a jobsite, drones are now used mostly for surveying, showing the works in progress and inspecting structures but these are just a small list of the capacities that can be put to use. If you’re a large construction company with multiples jobsites or contractors with simultaneous renovation for multiple properties then using drones to monitor the sites will save you an enormous amount of time and money.

The construction industry has emerged as a key consumer for the growing drone industry. For builders, their return on investments is plain to see. Drones are cheaper and faster than heavy machinery and human surveyors and can collect data more frequently to show the jobsite’s progress with an accuracy previously unknown in the industry.

It is a matter of time that drones will become mainstream technology in construction projects.
